The annual meeting May 8th 2020 elected a new board:

Anders Weilandt, chairman. Anders is CEO of Chordate Medical Holding AB (Publ), Chairman of Symbioteq Holding AB, AddBIO AB, and Ascendia AB with subsidiaries and associated companies. He has over 30 years of experience from senior positions in smaller private and listed medtech companies.

Henrik Rammer, an experienced private equity investor with strong focus in the medtech and financial areas. Henrik first invested in AddBIO in 2013 and has been a board member since 2014.

Lars Henriksson, former Group Vice President Dentsply Sirona Implants. Lars has more than 30 years of experience from the dental implant industry and held a number of leading positions in Nobel Biocare, Astra Tech and DENTSPLY Sirona. The last five years he was the head of the Implant division with 2400 employees in over 30 countries and with a turnover of 500 MUSD.

Pär-Olov Östman, leg. Dentist and Professor. Pär-Olov has been engaged in AddBIO as a senior scientific advisor for many years. He also has experience as a clinical consultant at leading dental companies such as Nobel Biocare AB, Bimet 3i Inc and Southern Implants.

Vinnova awarded AddBIO a 2 MSEK grant

Vinnova awarded AddBIO a 2MSEK grant in the call “Innovation projects in small and medium-sized companies”. The funded project is entitled Development of next generation dental implants.

AddBIO awarded with the Seal of Excellence for a third time

AddBIOs project proposal submitted under the Horizon 2020, the EU framework programme for research and innovation 2014-2020, was scored as a high-quality project proposal in a highly competitive evaluation process. Following evaluation by an international panel of independent experts, AddBIO was awarded the Seal of Excellence. This is the third time this year AddBIO has gotten this award.

AddBIO’s patent approved in Europe

The European patent Office has granted AddBIO’s latest patent WO/2010/138062 Multilayer Protein Films, Methods Of Making, And Drug Delivery Devices And Biomedical Implants Employing The Films. This means that this patent is now approved and registered in US, China, Hongkong and Europe. The WO/2010/138062 patent is under examination in India.

-We are very pleased that this patent is finally registered in Europe. This was achived after years of claims discussions in collaboration with IP consulltants at Zacco. We see Europe and US as our primary markets for commercialisation and it is important that we are strenthening our patent portfolio and getting closer to have IP protection in all our markets, says CTO Lotta Tollstoy Tegler,PhD, responsible for IP at AddBIO.

Sven Rohmann, MD, PhD, MBA, was elected as a Board Member in our Annual General Meeting. Sven is the CEO and founder of Suenos Advisers establishment. He is advisor and CBDO at Oryx Translational as well as board member and CEO in Oasmia.
Sven has an impressive experience working broadly with research, VC companies, CMO, CEO, Chairman of the Board and as an advisor. The network is large and valuable. Sven lives in Switzerland, which is the world's center for implant companies. We welcome Sven to AddBIO's Board of Directors.

In connection with the annual meeting, Maarten De Chateau left his post as a board member. We thank Maarten for his valuable contribution in the work of the Board.

A new share issue gave the Company a contribution of SEK 6 979 640.

New certificate for ISO 13485:2016

We had an annuaul audit by BSI and we received our new certificate for ISO 13485:2016.

New Quality Assurance Manager

Karin Almstedt is now our new Quality Assurance Manager and Karl Hagström remains as a consultant advisor. Karin has long experience in quality and auditing, and has participated in several courses held by the Swedish Standard Institute in the framework of ISO 13485 and MDR.
